Cosmic Romp is an all-original band based in the Washington, DC area amplifying a sonic blast of hip-hop, funk, jazz, rock, and space sounds featuring Eric Taylor on vocals, David Rothman on guitar, Joseph Wood on drums, and Ben Trajtenberg on bass. Cosmic Romp draws inspiration from a wide variety of artists, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, James Brown, Nas, and Outkast, into a unique blend that's unlike anything else in the DC scene.
