The two volumes of "Bulgarian Choral Folk Songs" belong definately to the biggest musical achievments of this unique choir - not only because they have been incredibly arranged by the composer Krassimir Kyurkchiyski, but because the Bulgarian Folk Music is a real musical treasure making a cross over between the european musical tradition and the east-european one, collecting in itself numerous cultural and ancient Balkan tribe influences - Thracians, Great - Bulgarian Tribes and the ones of the Slavonic Tribes. Cosmic Voices of Bulgaria is surely the best export cultural project of Bulgaria today and a real delight for the years. Two new CD releases - "Bulgarian Choral Folk Songs - Vol.1 and Vol.2" by "Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria" are already available on

Dilmano Dilbero

Written By: Traditional

Dilmano Dilbero,
tell me how to plant some peppers`seedlings...
How to make them grow, blossom and bear nice peppers...

You, just push them a bit and shove them a bit,
this is how you plant peppers,
then you can pick up nice peppers whenever you want...

This is how you plant peppers

Rada`s mother talks to Rada

Written By: Traditional

Rada`s mother said to Rada:

"Rada, don`t get engaged too young,
marriage is not as good as maidenhood..."

But Rada didn`t listen to her mother,
she got engaged to Nikola,
to Nikola - the rebels` leader.

So Rada`s mother spoke to her again:

"Rada, daughter, don`t get engaged to Nikola,
for a rebel`s wife does`t wear white...
For a rebel`s wife doesn`t wash white..."

PS. In Bulgaria wearing black clothes means that the one wearing therm has lost a very dear person.
