C. O. Soul

C. O. Soul is based out of Columbus,Ohio and is made up with talented versitile musicians in the mid-west area and from the rhymical land of Africa, with a modern touch of high energy beats & rhythms converted into the songs performed, sets us apart from other bands. Influenced by bands from the 70's to the early 90's with a complete repertoire of hot dance music.
Our lead vocalist Ms. Charlie Burns, an awsome singer and entertainer, who has been singing since the age of 10, playing in several bands in the past growing more bold & exciting rocking the stage everytime she performs..
Keyboardist Kweku Menka born in Ghana Africa, was raised in Belgium, Kweku has played with professional artist like Hue Masakela, Kenny Loggins, and has performed for the Mamibai Independence president Sam Nujuoma & Nelson Mandela along with Evelyn Champagn King.
On rhythm guitar Dawoud "DJ" Jones grew up hard in the streets of Chicago until a friend put a bass guitar in his hand, from that point he knew what he was destine to do, in high school, one of he's music buddies who is related to 2 sisters that was on the top 20 music charts inspired him more to learn the music buisness, after years playing in bands & doing studio work, the music seen came to a slow end, until he moved to Ohio, he soon got his groove back as one of the founder of Soul/Funk/able Productions and the C. O. Soul Band.
Bassist Daune "Coffee" Coffman has been playing the bass with his solid smooth style of playing, he knows when to lay the stright pocket funk down too. A native of Columbus, Coffee has been playing bass guitar since high school and growing up performing in several bands developing his smooth funky in the pocket style a real asset to the band.
