"SONIC GARDEN"

Consuelo, Consuelo, Consuelo, Me amore. You will fall in love with this glowing pop chanteuse when you hear her self-titled project.
Born in New York City, Consuelo Costin grew up exposed to the artistic sophistication of an international lifestyle, which translates into her recordings. Her travels throughout Europe, her residencies in London, Florence, and L.A., and her fluency in Italian and French convey her cosmopolitan style.

In preparation for a professional career as a singer, songwriter, and actress, Consuelo studied vocals at the Academy of Music in Florence. She currently studies vocally with Peppi Leimar, Yanna Spark, Raz Kennedy (Bobby McFerrin singer) and Ron Anderson (who trained members of Guns N' Roses).

Consuelo performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London singing back-up vocals for Joe Cocker and Bill Wyman. In addition, she also plays electric guitar and has recorded with producers Magnus Fiennes (Blur and All Saints) and with John Williams (The Proclaimers).

Consuelo is a talent that you will fall in love with.

Bio

“It’s All About the Beat,” and she’s not just talking about drums. Consuelo believes that two things make a song work: Drum beats and lyrical cadence. Her philosophy is simple- “The percussion moves your body; the words move your soul.” This is more than evident in Consuelo’s unique brand of Sensual Pop-Rock. Her well-crafted melodies showcase a voice that resonates with intense power and emotion. She has written over one hundred and fifty songs and if you are wondering where a blonde bombshell got a name like Consuelo, she was named after her grand mother the infamous, Grand-Dame of New York, Consuelo Vanderbilt.

Six Years, In pain… I’m losin’ my mind, again and again.
There’s no part of Consuelo’s life that she won’t write about. “I believe that you have to write as if nobody you know will ever hear your song. That way you can tell the true story, the way you see it, the way you lived it.” Consuelo wrote her first Song lyrics when she was eleven years old. That was the same year she started singing in the school choir. It was also the year that she was told that her voice was too loud. Consuelo always knew her voice had power, she just didn’t realize how much. Constantly told to “keep it down” and realizing that it simply wasn’t possible, Consuelo finally found two things that would shut her up: A blank sheet of paper and a sharpened pencil.

It wasn’t until Consuelo turned fifteen that she began to give in to the power of her voice, and this time, people listened. She was discovered by famed vocal coaches- Ron Andersen and Seth Riggs (Whitney Houston). Taking her under their wing, the duo taught her to harness that strength.

Continuing to follow her musical passion, Consuelo traveled to Italy to study music at La Studio Di Brittanica, financing her education by playing and singing in the clubs of Florence. Soon thereafter, she found herself touring Germany where she partnered with Christian Seidal to shoot her first music video. When she was offered a job performing with Joe Cocker at the legendary Royal Albert Hall, Consuelo immediately headed to London. This show helped her to realize one of her dreams…signing her first Record Deal. With Viper/ Sanctuary Records, she was introduced to and worked with two of her favorite collaborators, Andrew Roachford,John Williams and Matt Prime.

After completing her self-titled EP, Consuelo parted ways with Viper and came back to the United States where almost immediately upon her arrival in Los Angeles, one of her songs found its way into the hands of David Foster and the producers of Pop Stars, on The WB network. The song was recorded by Eden's Crush and Consuelo became the youngest songwriter on that show. Just over a year ago Consuelo became one of the three finalists in the Pantene Pro Voice Competition for singer songwriters 14 –24 across America. Consuelo was flown to New York and performed with Vanessa Carlton, Mya and Tweet on Mtv2 and Consuelo’s song, “She’s Out Of Control” aired on the Pantene Commercial.

Residing in Los Angeles, Consuelo continues to play shows and has recently completed several recordings with Peter Amato and Jess Sutcliffe under the alias of Mo Costin. Amato has produced Ricky Martin, LeAnn Rimes and was the first producer to be signed to Desmond Child’s label. Sutcliffe is a 14 Grammy nominee mixer engineer who just finished Prince’s album. Consuelo’s song “Numb” was recently featured on the hit mini series “Beach Girls” starring Julia Ormond and Rob Lowe. Consuelo was number one on Aol’s Musiqtone’s digital downloads for the month of December and January and all four of her songs were also top ten beating out artists such as Kanye West. Consuelo sings in four languages French, Italian, Spanish and English.
