Formed in 2011, Calgary, Alberta's Countdown Arrest is the creation of Jason Ryu, Jeff Yip, Chris Parbery and Jordan Burnham. United by a common love of epic 1980's stadium rock anthems, the young foursome's modern rock sound reflects a retro vibe reminiscent of a decade known for much longer hair and much tighter pants.
Looking to break into the local music scene, Countdown Arrest entered a local battle of the bands for their first-ever public performance, taking home first place in the process. Easily identified by hypnotic, riff-driven piano lines and soaring, anthemic guitar solos, the group has seen their popularity grow steadily since early 2011.
