"Fresh New Beat Counter Culture Crew"

Bop your head to the fresh beats of up and coming Christian hip-hop artists 'Counter Culture Crew.' A lyrical force, CCC proclaims the message of Christ as a "group of believers using their God given talents to encourage others to live counter culturally."
The crew consists of four members: JaySolo, TMar, 40Daez, and D.O.E. If you listen to their lyrics you are sure to learn a thing or two. Starting with names, D.O.E explains that "apart from divine breath we are all dust of the earth. JaySolo, with a previously release album entitled 'Dreams of Being a Nobody', makes it clear that he is no a nobody in God's eyes. his voice is confident and his content precise. TMar brings the acoustics as the only singer and pianist/keyboardist while you can catch rapper and songwriter 40Daez on tracks 'Hello World' and 'Inkredible.'
The mixtape, 'No Hooks', dropped earlier this year with new collaborative and solo albums in the works. You can download 'No Hooks' for free at counterculturecrew.bandcamp.com.
CCC met at Creature's Cafe a year ago and now perform there regularly. Recently hitting the stage with a new fan base at Fruitland Baptist's Block Blast, they are sure to make a positive impact.

Bio

Counter Culture Crew (CCC) began as a concert series in Western North Carolina. It was a way for popular independent artists to use their gifts to glorify God through music. The first concert was successful and the performers were asked to bring the show to other venues in North Carolina. However, the participants all had their own ministries and projects they were working on and weren't able to commit.

JaySolo, the founding member, was inspired to be in fellowship with other artists who shared the same beliefs and also desired to make an impact in their community. He met 40Daez and TMar who were doing music together as B.A.B. (Born Again Believers) through a friend at a local venue. D.O.E. (Dust of the Earth) learned about JaySolo after watching him perform and one day reached out to Jay about doing street ministry together. One night when everyone was together JaySolo officially extended out invitations to the group and asked them to join CCC. That night Counter Culture Crew was born.

The group is committed to this music ministry. Each member strives to live a Christ-centered existence. With TMar on the hooks and 40Daez, JaySolo and D.O.E. spitting rhymes they will get you on your feet and bring you down to your knees. Their music is about praising the Lord and spreading the Gospel to give others an opportunity to hear the Good News. After releasing their first single, "CCC" they realized how big the counter culture movement was going to be. When "CCC" was chosen as the Single of the Day on a popular Hip Hop blog and played on a nationally recognized radio station the response was phenomenal. "CCC" was followed by "New Beginnings," "Doing My Job," and “Hip Hop Is Dead.” In January 2013 CCC submitted “Doing My Job” to be added to a compilation CD with songs from other independent artists that would be given out at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards. Out of hundreds of songs submitted their song was chosen and added to the lineup.

Counter Culture Crew is an ideal and a lifestyle. CCC is determined to encourage everyone to live counter to what this culture esteems. CCC was always intended to be bigger than its current membership and if you are committed to live counter culturally for Jesus, then you too are a member. In May 2012, they released their first mixtape "No Hooks" featuring JaySolo, DOE and 40Daez which was well received. They are currently working on individual EP’s and releasing singles and mixtapes along the way.
