Countrified is the first artist from South Carolina to captivate the hip-hop world. With two decades of composing and performing, Countrified’s unique sound sets him apart from today's average rapper. Joining the United States Marines Corps provided the opportunity for Country to travel the world. His ceaseless self-promotion and high-octane talent showcases quickly gained the respect of his peers. While serving in Japan, Down Yonda Inc., drew instant praise from locals. moving to California his sites were set on the LA entertainment scene. Within 18 month of his arrival, Countrified was nominated (Los Angeles) best local rapper. Shortly after, he was requested to perform on the highly rated "Steve Harvey Morning Show". The response was so overwhelming that Countrified was asked to return the next week. Winning prestigious freestyle competitions including "Source's" unsigned hype, performing at the Steve Harvey Hoodie Awards, LA’s summer jam, and teen summit further solidified Countrified's position as an MC that must be heard. Once again Countrified's charisma and talent so impressed B.E.T. that they insisted he perform on B.E.T.’s "OH Drama" and compose the theme song for their new television show, "The Way We Do It". The theme and accompanying video short was nationally featured opening each episode. He has shared the stage and also been featured in videos with hip hop giants such as DMX, Lil Flip, Prince, Jada Kiss, Angie Stone and DJ Quick to name a few. Not only have he appeared in video’s but Country has appeared in movies, (Soul Plain, Alpha Dog, Date movie) Commercial’s, (National Dr. Pepper commercial), and TV shows, (HEROES, Ugly Betty, My name is Earl, Blind Justice) to name a few. Countrified has performed as an on air personality for a local Los Angeles radio station. He quickly took the radio show to another level by including interesting show segments, comedic timing, and hot music. This phenomenal artist is truly 360 degrees writing a book, three T.V. shows, and a feature film. He is so well rounded and respected that he was selected to compose, invent and teach a hip-hop music class in Beverly Hills. Definitions, rapping techniques, and song structures are all taught to students by this veteran artist.
Countrified recently returned overseas touring parts of Europe and creating a bigger buzz abroad. While on tour he’s sold 1,120 units of his CD, participated in radio interviews, and invited as a guest on multiple T.V. shows.
