Bio
Formed in Adelaide at the end of 2005, Country Town Collective is now based principally in Darwin. Fronted by singer/songwriter Alice Rae, the band plays an eclectic mix of styles most aptly described as 'contemporary folk' with elements of country, blues and 1960's - 1970's rock. Prior to forming the band, Alice cut her teeth playing solo pub gigs in northwest WA, Adelaide, Melbourne, and country VIC and SA.
Former members of the band that complement the Country Town Collective when going places are Adrian Riessen (guitar), Susie Chittleborough (bass), Michelle Gray (percussion), Glenn Fraser (guitar) and Alex Carpenter (guitar/vocals).
CTC has set its sights on releasing it's debut CD in August 2008, launched during the Darwin Festival.
