"Up and Coming New Nashville - County Line Junction"

Colt Records of Nashville has announced that they have reached a new two year agreement with the Central Ohio Duo of Alisha Sheely and Michael Clark known as County Line Junction. Their first release on Colt Records will be coming out at the end of August with a single entitled “Crossroads” from their new CD.

Soulfulness prevails in lead singer, Alisha Sheely’s vocal delivery and songwriting for County Line Junction. Specializing in lead vocals, backing vocals and rhythm acoustic guitar, Alisha has played venues across the region. Her lead vocals have been described as a hybrid of Martina McBride and Dusty Springfield. Performing solo in the past as Alisha Lynn, her album, “Even the Angels Knew”, gained popularity across Europe and reached the top of the independent charts in the late 90’s. Alisha then joined the band Jericho and toured Ohio and the regional area as a backing and lead vocalist. Alisha’s songwriting continues to be heard and reviewed by top artists.

County Line Junction’s allure is enhanced by the exceptional vocal and guitar talents of Michael Clark. Michael’s professional training in jazz performance gives the duo their distinct, original and bluesy sound. Specializing in bass, lead guitar and lead vocals, Michael has played in venues across the United States. Michael has been a songwriter since the young age of 15. His love of Power Pop music fuels much of his songwriting ideas and has led to many accomplishments as a songwriter, including the purchase of “Without You” by the Fox Television Network for the show Undeclared.

Upon a chance meeting at their church, Alisha & Michael formed an unbreakable bond through their music and began playing out together in 2001. Since then, they continue to believe in the importance of giving back to people by participating in performances that benefit local and national charities such as The March of Dimes, The Komen Race for the Cure, and Special Olympics.

County Line Junction is currently planning their regional summer tour for 2009 and will continue to write and play their music for people across the United States. For booking information, contact County Line Junction at: www.myspace.com/countylinejunction

"Plymouth Native's Band Performing at Richland County Fair"

MANSFIELD -- No matter what music genre you enjoy, it would be hard to go wrong with County Line Junction.

Lead singer Alisha Sheely, a Plymouth native, said the talented Columbus band is versatile.

"People say we sound country because of our name, but we play rock and pop and country," she said. "Our original music, I would say, is a cross between Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac."

Sheely said age isn't a factor either.

"We do songs that anybody would like to hear," she said. "If I see young girls out in the crowd, I'll throw in some Taylor Swift."

Next week, County Line Junction will open for country music artist Randy Houser at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Richland County Fair. On Thursday, the band will perform again at 6 p.m.

Sheely said guests will find two different shows.

"We'll try to stick with a country theme on Tuesday to keep things in line with Randy Houser's music," she said. "But on Thursday, we'll play some originals and a lot of stuff from today, songs like 'Black Horse in the Cherry Tree,' songs people are very familiar with."

Sheely said the five-member band only grew to its current size two years ago.

"Mike (Clark) and I have been doing an acoustic duo since 2001, and for the longest time, it was just the two of us," she said. "Then we decided we wanted to start writing some original material. We recorded some stuff out of Nashville and wanted to try and start playing live, but you need a band behind you."

That's when Sheely's brother Brad Bloomfield, on the guitar; Kris Phillips, on drums; and lead guitarist Brian Pack stepped up.

"We wanted to merge things to see what kind of sound we could get," Clark said. "We started just doing covers, then we were writing stuff and getting a sound. Now we do half and half."

Clark said the band is all about touching fans.

"A lot of people, when they start out, do this for one or two reasons -- either to really connect with the girls or guys or to make a lot of money, and be big and rich and famous," he said. "For us, if we write a song

and really connect with people, when you feel that kind of connection, those are moments you live for. Having people relate to your songs and share their story, that's just really neat."

On Tuesday, Sheely said audiences will enjoy songs from well-known artists such as Miranda Lambert, Travis Tritt, Little Big Town and Gretchen Wilson.

"People can expect a really good live show and a lot of camaraderie," Clark said. "We really love talking to and interacting with them. It will be a really enjoyable, energized performance."

Sheely said she's excited to come back to the area.

"I always sang when I was home anyway, and it will be cool to see family and friends," she said. "I'm proud of us and what we've done. We're versatile and have great harmonies, and I'm excited to show all this to the hometown crowd."
