Good Evening

Written By: Courtney Babcock

GOOD EVENING AND WELCOME

Come gather round and hear the guitars ring
Take your seats and dim the lights
We have a song or two we’d like to sing
So welcome and good evening to this night

In the music you may hear the sounds
That take you back to some forgotten place
Something may strike you as quite profound
Might even put a smile upon your face

And so dear friends lend us an ear
This is what we hope to do
Lift your hearts, make your spirit soar
Put us in touch with you

May feel like rain upon a barren land
A warm wind blowing through your soul
We’ll do our part to lend a hand
Take you to that place you long to go

In Her Arms

Written By: Courtney Babcock

IN HER ARMS

I don’t want to know
Where it is you go
It would make me cry
To catch you in a lie

It’s driving me insane
It’s really done me harm
I can’t stand the pain
I’m staying in her arms

Every single night
You’re out and it’s not right
I sit all alone
My heart turns to stone

But all my crying’s done
It’s done me too much harm
I’m never going to run
I’m staying in her arms

Cause in her arms I feel so satisfied
She gives me love and so much more
When I need her she don’t run and hide
In her arms, I found what I’m looking for

Solo / bridge

One day you will see
Just what you’ve done to me
And maybe you will find
Some way to ease your mind

So try and understand
You do me too much harm
I’ve got to make a stand
I’m staying in her arms
