Bio

When Courtney was six her parents bought her a toy guitar, and she taught herself how to play three chords. She begged for a real guitar and lessons for the next year; her parents gave in. She took lessons for 10 ½ years and in that time played for her school choirs and jazz bands. After a terrible car accident in September of 1993 Courtney realized her artistic ability to write and perform her own music.

Courtney A. Streb received numerous awards and recognitions for her talent. Throughout junior and senior high school she earned a place in both the All-County and Area All-State choirs. She also won the National School Choral Award in June of 2000.

Courtney has been teaching lessons in both guitar and voice since her sophomore year of high school. She has taught students of all ages. Including some of her closest friends. Her passion for quality musicianship inspires her students to excel.

Since Courtney played at her first show in 1997, she has performed at festivals, churches, youth groups, and coffee houses. Though her shows primarily occur in the Rochester, NY area, she has played in other areas of New York, Pennsylvania, & Mississippi, . She has played with Daniel & Friends, Dan Terry, Passion for Him, Simpson Sky, Tribe of Daniel, and Utopia Project. She also brought her music with her to festivals and church gatherings in Mexico, Peru, and Serbia.

In 2001, Courtney A. Streb released her debut album, “New Life,” with the help of Jesse Sprinkle and Mammoth Studios in Dansville, NY. The Album has received airtime on various online stations; one example is Dynamic Independent Radio at 2844-46 Dewey Avenue Rochester, NY 14616 (WDYN.net).
