Bio
Begun in the summer of 2009, Courtney McClean & The Dirty Curls perform a style of music they call "naughtybilly": an eclectic mix of country, bluegrass, 70s power rock, cowboy, tin pan alley, and pretty much any other genre that feels right to them, all in service of some of the most outrageously off-color lyrics ever written. Their songs detail bi-curiosity, accidental incestuous desires, the importance of skillful dirty talk, and the endless double-entendres possible when you name a city "Moorhead."
With their flashy, fringe-and-patch-covered Western suits and their combined backgrounds in improvisational comedy, storytelling, stand-up, theater, and live musical performance, Courtney McClean & The Dirty Curls provide a stage show that the Minneapolis Star Tribune called one of the state's best live acts.
