A little bit about Rosanne Solotarow…
Rosanne is a natural entertainer and a born performer who truly relaxes once she is in the spotlight. Whether she is performing for a small group of 20 or a crowd of thousands, everyone in the audience gets treated to a glimpse into her self-effacing personality. She is out to have a great time and will do whatever it takes for everyone else to have one too!
On stage since she was four years old; from musicals to rock concerts; intimate private parties to corporate black tie galas; local pubs to festivals, Rosanne has been on all types of stages and played to many types of crowds. Regularly adding to her already hefty repertoire or music she is able to satisfy the widest ranges of audiences in both age and musical tastes.
Theatre audiences adore her Memories Show where Rosanne sings the songs of the late Patsy Cline… over 40 of them! Her classic country band is made up of many well-respected and talented country musicians who love the music as much as she does. Her most recent Memories Show played to an almost completely full house (604 of the 680 capacity) at the Academy Theatre in Lindsay and her merchandise was completely sold out during the intermission!
The MV Woodman (Scugog Cruises in Port Perry) has experienced Rosanne in a more relaxed and intimate environment (120 passengers onboard two decks) and have re-booked regular country cruises each season as they are sure sell-out every time.
Performing with her band “RO n’the BOYS” she is currently booked for dates through May 2007. They have a song list of the most requested female country songs as well as the time tested rock favourites which make this kickin' chick country band a hit with any age group!
When singing she switches effortlessly from rock to pop to country, up-tempo to ballad and back again. Always singing songs by other artists, Rosanne is eagerly anticipating performing some original music that will allow her fans to really see inside her soul.
Rosanne is currently writing several songs for her debut album as a collaboration with Juno nominated songwriter, Rob Laidlaw (www.roblaidlaw.ca) who will also be producing the project. Trying to balance the sheer fun of music that pushes the limit with lyrics that push the mind, the music you'll hear on this CD will excite even the most critical ears!
