Covert

Covert is a band composed of five talented musicians from Michigan. Formed in 2003 as Covert Operations, the times and faces have changed, but the sound that Covert is perfecting still has an appealing vibe and welcoming groove.

Blending vocal harmonies with styles that fuse Rock and Roll with Blues, Reggae, Funk, Bluegrass, Jazz, Folk, and sometimes a little Gospel and Soul, the jams will make you want to dance as you enjoy the sounds and feel the love that flows around the music.

While Covert stops at the many venues to deliver their sound, often the loyal fans make the voyage to see the band, regardless of where they have to go and how long it takes to get there. The atmosphere that created itself became one much like a family dynamic, after consistent visits to see the same band became a reason for people to make a new friend. That process has now grown and the Covert fans have become a covert community.

Ending 2010 as an opening act for the nationally touring band, Rusted Root, at the infamous St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, Michigan, Covert topped the year off by throwing their own Covert 2010-2011 New Year's Eve Party. The ticket included a view of the recording studio Covert would be recording their next album at, food and drinks, three additional performing bands, and a performance from Covert lasting until 5 AM, where almost every fan stayed till the very end.

There is a positive vibration in the air, whenever Covert is there. The energy flows, but never are the shows the same. Depending on the night or the room, the lights or the moon, the rhythms or the grooves, or the timing of the tunes, Covert rocks!- and you will be moved.
