Roger Cox



Born and Raised in Kingston Jamaica, Roger began mastering his craft in the art schools of Miami Florida. After graduating New World School of the Arts, he joined the Navy Band San Diego where he pushed his musical skills and leadership to the next level. As band leader and featured soloist he was right at home and in his element.

Roger would find his next home in San Francisco as a student at San Francisco State University. After leaving the Navy he received a scholarship to study under the instruction of Branford Marsallis and Andrew Speight.

Currently Roger lives in the San Francisco Bay area when not on tour in South America, Europe, Canada and the United States. He is presently performing with Kenyan born Funk-Master Sila, and Soul/R&B legend Darondo. He can also be seen at various jazz venues around the bay performing with a myriad of different artists.
