Bio
Coy Decoy is a power Trio coming to you from the great Stephenville, NL. Coy Decoy consists of the technical hard hitting, double kicking drummer, Brandon Hopkins out of Deer Lake. He is also a multi-instrumentalist who has been playing music his whole life. He brings the flare of metal to the band and has roots in gospel, metal, rock, punk and jazz music which really shines through in their music. The bass master, Chris Clarke, from Port aux Basque brings forth the raw energy and anger in his performance and playing style. His roots are in metal, emo and scream-o. Finally at lead vocals and guitar is Greg Jenniex from Pasadena. He has roots in alternative, rock and song writing. The three met as students at the College of the North Atlantic’s Music Industry and Performance Program. They came together in October of 2005 and started a band based on their many musical styles and influences. The fusion of metal, punk, scream-o and hard rock give this band its unique sound, which they call Scropunk-o.
