"Unhurried and intimate Irish music from a longtime duo."

I love this CD. You will, too, if you enjoy unhurried, intimate playing of Irish tunes and songs, such as you might experience at a house concert, or around a kitchen table where musicians have gathered.

The recording quality is excellent and nicely captures the depth and warmth of their instruments (bouzouki, guitar, flute, and concertina) and Coyne's mellow baritone. For me, standout tracks are Reeves' slow air on flute, "Place True Love Thy Arms Around Me," and Coyne's rendering of "Magic Nights in the Lobby Bar."

I recommend getting the CD, a handsome package that includes information about the players and their instruments, plus track notes crediting sources and influences. - CD Baby

"From Custy's Music, Ennis, County Clare Ireland"

September 2010 debut release by Limerick born guitar and bouzouki player,John Coyne and Irsh American concertina and flute player,Larre Reeves.

They describe this recording as "captured one weekend in June 2010 and brought to you as it happened".

The music is cleverly simple and full of spirit and very evocative - a lovely gem. The Kilnamona Barndance on track 11 evokes gentle memories of one of Clare's great concertina players, Gerdie Commane.
