Coyote Butts was founded during 2008 when brothers Pascal and Patrik decided to pick up their guitars from the ashes of their former garage-rock band Four Roses. After a hesitant start up, Lieven was found to become the lead singer and this was the trigger to shift the band into fifth gear! Lieven’s grinding voice was the perfect match to create a garage sound with influences from other genres. After Carol joined the band behind the drum kit, the four were under steam which resulted in the recording of their debut EP “Agony&Ricochet.
Coyote Butts deliver a steamy performance and do not limit theirselves too much in their musical influences. The songs vary from Pop to Rock, mainly Garage with influences from old school rock and funk. More power then Pop, more catchy then Rock!
Some people told us we sound a bit like Black Crowes, other mention Tragically Hip, hell some even compared our song Agony & Ricochet with Nirvana! Well we ain’t none of them, but we take it as a compliment!
