"Coyote Love - 11-2012"

"The first video for the song, “Bettin’ Dirty Water” was shot in September under the overpass of the Henry Hudson Highway on Dyckman Avenue. The band and video crew assembled early in the morning despite the uncooperative weather foretold in a gray bank of clouds.

During the third take, the skies released a torrent of water, yet the band played on.

What was captured was the wrath of nature being held at bay by an exciting live performance of an old-school original Blues and rock song.

The second video for a cover of the Jamie Foxx song, “Blame it (On the Alcohol)” is scheduled to be filmed in an Inwood bar sometime this November.

Bettin’ Dirty Water, the twenty-minute Coyote Love documentary, tells the story of the band during the making of the Blues record as well as an account of the obstacles of a working class musician in building a self-sustainable musical entity.

So what’s next?

Beyond the videos and the documentary, Wagner plans to “rebuild the website, hit the college market, start 2 more blogs, a podcast and release a new Blues tune every month for a year.” And beyond even that, begin the foundation for what will be “a relentless NYC-style funk series to be released in 2014.'” - Mahattan Times

Bio

Do the right thing! And when you do it, set it to a nasty backbeat and thumpin bass, with horns, harmonicas, and harmonies, encouraging you forward to the sound of old school blues, funk, rock, and soul! Penetrating and truthful, Hank Coyote Wagners from-the-gut voice and lyrics can lovingly carry your pups and simultaneously haunt you like a howl in the dark. Alone Mr. Coyote is a force to reckon with. Partnered with sultry sax slinging vocalist, Rachel Grundy, and their mind bendingly funky, NYC-based rhythm and horn section, Coyote Love is an army of positive vibes, music and passion.

Sounds Like:
Galactic Eats a Sly Stone Sandwich, smothered in Clapton Sauce, on a stone-ground Indie Hero.

Doesn't Sound Like: U2, Weezer, Metallica, anything by Michael McDonald

Favorite Bands? Led Zep, any band with Jack White in it, Parliment, Willie Dixon, Bob Marley, Rolling Stones, Spin Doctors, Paul Butterfield.

The extra spice: We all love early Motown and Soul.

THE COYOTE LOVE POSSE
