"“The Jaguarman’s Awakening” album"

“The Jaguarman’s Awakening” album brings to our ears the pictures of a flourishing imagery of musical entities that dwell in the air and in the invisible sounds of the night.

Listening to Coyotzin, is like an initiation, and the witnesses are the darkness and the closed eyes, the everlasting spirit of nature, the forests and jungles, the perennial realm of the mineral world, the caves and cliffs and the earth transformed in all the temples. Through his own vision, the common man becomes a god and all the gods in one single moment and, at that same time, he knows he will be as eternal as the word.

In “The Jaguarman’s Awakening” the recorded sounds are forbidden flowers, like the skin of jaguars, that flow inside the ear of the listener and in the face of eternity. Coyotzin reminds us that such musical eternity that seems to be time and space split apart is actually a path,a gigantic cosmic game that the gods create and leave behind in the human mind.”

"Sorcerers Tales"

CD “Sorcerers Tales”, Sorcerers antiquity
”The universe is mental-held in the Mind of The All,it tells us about all the ancient religions, the Sorcerers’ Tales are the history of the universe, matter does not exist before thought, word, sound. The invocation… the unreal universe, the condition for the universe to exist is man’s worship.
Coyotzin invokes the primal word, the first one, the bluest one, “the infinite poetry of number” In the words of Ysscdea.
The silence in Coyotzin’s music is not just one more component, it is also an integral part of the compositions... a primal element.
From the flames of eternity, he’s the storyteller of the sorcerers’ tales, the story of the ancient ones of the dawn and the evening, as keepers of forbidden events to the human eye but not to the human ear.
The sorcerers are the ancient ones that give shape and provide the sacred nourishment to mankind and the gods in a gathering of divination and sacrifice. The ancient ones do not posses a real name to the ears of the limited and perishable man, their names come in the form of music and it could only be heard by those who seek, in a life of merit, the real face of the gods of the universe”.

Bio

Coyotzin play with many ancient musical instruments once used in Mexico before the invasion of Spaniards, most of them are winds and percussion instruments.
These instruments are made with wood, bone, stone, reed and clay.
Music was part of many artistic manifestations such as dance and poetry in a ritualistic context.

Coyotzin also know how to reproduce clay instruments with very ancient native techniques and plays only with replicas created by himself and original ancient instruments.

His last release is a conceptual, almost progressive album here's a description:

The Legend of the Sun
...
«The Legend of the Sun is a telling of the past before the existence of the world as we know it today. After the gods created the earth, the heavens and the underworld, a chain of destruction and creation unfolded that caused the existence of five different worlds throughout time. Each world is an Age dominated by its sun, and therefore each Age is called a Sun.»

«It is believed that there were four ages -suns-, before this one, and this present age-sun-, is the fifth.»
«As the elder Knew and said, during the year "1 rabbit " the earth and the sky were created, when this happened, four different ages have previously existed in the world. Each one of them with its own particular sun. The elder said the first humans were made of ash, conceived and created by Quetzalcoatl, who was born under the sign "7wind"».

« The first sun, –The sun of water-, was created under the sign "4 water". Great floods of water covered the earth in this age, destroying everything, men turned into fish».

«The second sun was then created, -the Sun of Earth-, during this age, the sun didn’t follow its complete course, when at midday it suddenly became night and, at dark, people were eaten by jaguars. Humans were giants, but in spite of their great size, they were, in reality, weak beings. The elder said the giants would salute saying: ‘Don’t fall’, because when they fell, they fell forever.»

« The third sun, –The sun of fire, was created under the sign "4 rain", in this age, the sun rained fire and sand, people were burned, rocks boiled and turned red.»

«The fourth sun –The sun of wind-, was created under the sign "4 wind". Everything was carried away by the wind during this time, people turned into monkeys, then, these monkey people traveled and went to live among the mountains.»

«The Fifth sun, -The sun of movement- is the age we live in today, all that exists is in constant movement: rivers and oceans, plants and animals, life itself and the movement of the sun across the sky."The sun of movement" was created under the sign"4 ollin", that is, "4 movement-", and as elder say, in this time, there will be earth movements, and hunger, and this will cause the destruction of the present age.»
