C.P.F.

Christopher St. Paul Foote Jr. (born June 9th 1986), better known by his stage name (C.P.F.) and also his alter ego P.O.P.E.  is an American rapper, award nominated songwriter, producer and actor, father and husband.  C.P.F. has also has also initiated a burgeoning clothing line (POPE Clothing).  Upon his nominations for: "717 Video Music Awards", Bet's "Music Matters" and  "XXL FReshmen list" C.P.F. was also featured on "Who's Next" New York and LA.    C.P.F. achieved recognition for his work has become an icon to the NOLA and Philly Hip Hop awards respectively.

 C.P.F. was the first in his family born in the United States and raised by his Jamaican parents in Philadelphia, Pa.  He is the second of three children. Like many others growing up in the urban areas of Philadelphia, he went through his share of struggles and set backs. One of the hardest was at the age of 12 when his father walked out on his mother leaving her to raise two young boys alone. “Music was always playing in the house and with my family being Jamaican, reggae music was a must. One of the first songs I can recall is (Jin and Juice) by Snoop Dog. My Uncle would play it every morning while driving us to school”  C.P.F. recalls.  “This really intensified my desire to be a Hip- Hop artist.”

While attending Lower Merion High School, Chris took to writing poems and hooks and people started to take notice. “I then realized I had something and started taking music seriously. With the help of my younger step brother, we built a small recording studio in the basement.

 In 2009, C.P.F.  teamed up with Dj Alamo, one of the hottest Dj’s in New Jersey,  and released his first official mix tape “Leave it up to me”.  “Leave it up to me” gained a significant underground following and industry reps. began to take notice. In 2012 he teamed up with Dj Nophrillz, releasing his second mix tape “Fix ya face” and  7 innovative cutting edge music videos.

 In 2013, C.P.F. released his third mix tape “Leave a Message” and 5 more music videos.  The  single “Ballin for Dummies” was released on iTunes and   was C.P.F’s  first release to hit main stream in LA on Power 106 Fm.  C.P.F's hustle solidified  his underground status and caught the ear of Soul Avenger Music/ Island Def Jam Digital Distribution (New Orleans).

 C.P.F. has since elevated his status with 15+ singles on iTunes, "ghost-produced" for his mentor Bigg Grip of Grip Productions, and released  videos “Busy Signal” and “Herbalist” on VEVO.  C.P.F has gained notable mainstream success and notoriety on commercial FM and Internet radio.  Currently, his single “Broke Night mares” has remained in a top five slot on Internet and Social Media outlets.
