Bio
A gifted songwriter whose rich voice and ability to capture the moment in lyric, Craig Alan Mack was born and raised on the West Coast of Canada. He started his singing career at the age of three, in his Grandma’s kitchen, with the great folk classic “Tom Dooley”, and hasn’t stopped since.
Craig grew up listening to Cash, Merle, George Strait and Dwight. These influences of great story tellers are with him today.. He credits his brother for opening doors to a broader spectrum of songs, including the Beatles, Dylan, Eagles and CSN & Y. This greatly developed his ear for harmony and song writing technique.
In 2005, Craig realized a life long dream. Travelling to Nashville, he was introduced to Oddessa Settles, a member of Nashville’s outstanding Gospel family. His dream was to record live, with a gospel choir, in a little church, outside the city. The results were amazing! The song” ONE STEP AT A TIME” has received rave reviews’
In 2007, Craig released the MY COUNTRY album, with long time friend and guitar player Brian Zalo. The CD yielded 3 singles, including the title track.
More recently, Craig has been concentrating on songwriting with an eye for publishing. Using Taxi and Sonicbids, these goals continue to be met. Forwards thru Taxi have yielded placements in television, including multiple spots on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, as well as European and Asian opportunities as well.
Today, festivals and special events (VANCOUVER OLYMPICS, TRADE SHOWS and such) continue to fill Craig’s performing calendar as he continues to write and record.
