"Craig Byrnes Blindside Turnout Review"

“I gave it a listen. . . And found myself encouraged, uplifted and entertained.”

“There is nothing I like more in the morning than a warm cup of coffee and some good-natured music- my compliments to your refreshing take on rock n’ roll.”

“The album immediately starts out with catchy, clever progressions and doesn’t seem to stop throughout the eleven tracks. The opening “I Don’t Know” proves to be an infectious little composition with its crisp arrangement laced with warm electric tones and passionate vocals.”

On Blue Day- “I love the fluent acoustic riff that introduces and carries the song into its explosive chorus. This is really the sort of melody that is sure to leave an impression on first time listeners.”
- Ryan Hoffer, Shut Eye Records A&R Director

"Craig Byrnes at Sugar Hill Studios"

(HOUSTON, TEXAS) - October 17, 2003 - Producer Dan Workman
and arranger/composer Kevin Ryan collaborated on a production for
Houston singer/songwriter Craig Byrnes. Tracking and mixing were
completed in SugarHill's Studio A, using ProTools. Byrnes' CD
features the songs, "Fight This Time" and "Blue Day". The CD is his
latest release on WTL Records.

Craig has been described as a combination of John Mayer and Kurt
Cobain. He evokes emotion and memory with his intricate and
personal lyrics. "Fight This Time" and "Blue Day" are on MP3.com,
along with other material engineered and produced by Workman.

""Fight This Time""

"Fight This Time"
Craig Byrnes first hired me to mix a CD for his band, Further. Sadly, the band is no longer (RIP), but Craig is still going as a singer/songwriter. I love the way his voice sounds on tape, however, Craig likes a bit of mystery in his vocal delivery,...SO..... five bucks to the first person who sends me the actual lyrics to Verse 1 and 2. No Cheating!!!

Bio

A mixture of rock and folk tunes destined to refresh the soul.

Craig started playing guitar at age thirteen and after three lessons turned to the teaching of the grunge guru, Nirvana. "I remember standing in my room at my parents house singing into a Radio Shack microphone running through a practice amp, and playing my white Peavy Predator AX to what must have been every Nirvana song," says Byrnes.

It comes as no surprise that Byrnes has the same effect on a room that Cobain had. With an astounding amount of energy beaming from every performance, Byrnes and co. has shown music fans everywhere REAL music overflowing with passion.

Watch out! There is no limit to where this man can go! The upcoming record, "Blindside Turnout" on WTL Records, is his solo Debut. Filled with hit home lyrics and monster melodies, the album feels more like a hayride through the history of rock music than just one more 11-song-record.

He evokes emotion and memory with his intricate and personal lyrics. "Well, I write about what I have done" he says. "I write about things I have gone through, things I have thought and heard," says Byrnes, "I'm just a regular guy, so I think that a lot of people can really relate to my music because of that."

That's why he still, to this day, will not change his style. "It wouldn't be true to myself to try to copy another band," he says, "Music is saving the world one song at a time, therefore I will continue to offer up a joyful noise until I cannot muster another breath."
