Biography

With engaging lyrical flows and a confident stage presence, Craig C brings a unique flavor to Reggae Gospel. A 2007 Joe Higgs Music Award (JHMA) nominee for best new artist, Craig C burst on the stage in 2004 at a show titled First Sundays Unchained where he opened for Jamaican Gospel icon, Carlene Davis. His impressive performance led critic Michael A. Edwards of the Jamaica Observer to state, in his article delayed gratification: Sunday unchained, that he was a force to be reckoned with in the Christian DJ arena (July, 7, 2004). This paved the way for other performances such as Genesis Gospel Festival, Fun in the Son, Recharge and numerous events locally. Craig C's Ministry has since extended to international shores as he has ministered in many countries across the Caribbean numerous North American States such as Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Florida, Maryland, New York and New Jersey and he remains in high demand.

Born January 6, 1986 in born and raised in the Portmore community, Craig C developed an appreciation for music of all genres at an early age. This is evident in his style of music which incorporates dancehall, hip-hop and R&B. After recording several tracks for producer Dale "Dr. Dizzle" Virgo, Craig C was officially signed to Holy Ground Records in 2005. He However Started his own Production Company, Spiritual in Mind Lyrically Inclined Music (S.I.M.L.I Music), two years later where he produces his own music as well as other up and coming gospel artists. Craig C released his debut project titled "In Your Presence" February 2008 which has received rave reviews and was rated 4.5 out of 5 by the Teenage Observer. He is currently working on his sophomore album titled "Redemption" which will feature his present single, “Your Love”. The album is slated to be released in 2010.

Beyond the accolades and awards, Craig C’s desire is to be help people to come to a greater understanding of who Jesus is as well as to help the body of Christ maximize its potential in living the Christian life. "My mission is to use my musical gifting to influence people to a place of spiritual and moral consciousness", he declares. We await the great things that God will continue to use him to accomplish.
