Bio

Craig Davis was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and Raised in Memphis, TN. He writes songs that everyone can relate to. He mixes in cover songs in his live show. He won the Hot on the Row songwriting competition in Nashville, TN with his song "Get Right Through" beating out hundreds of competitors in 2008.
His sound can be compared to Ryan Adams, Johnny Cash, Jack Johnson, The Band, and John prine. His lyrics are inspired by love, life, booze, dogs, and anything that can make a person feel something or think about life in a new way. When Craig performs, he captures the audience's attention with his good-time attitude and keeps it with his well-crafted and artfully performed songs. His unique guitar playing style can move a crowd to dance, clap, or just sit back and listen. The harmonica and occasional banjo add diversity to his performances. Recently, he has been gigging with long time friend and drummer Adrian Berryhill. He brings other backing musicians out when the circumstances are right and the ones he includes are top notch.
Craig has played in bars and venues throughout the southeast such as Neil's, Brother's, Bunganut Pig, Night moves, etc. for the past four years. Through online and grass roots marketing,Craig has developed a devoted fanbase. His debut album playfully titled "Draig Cravis" is the perfect music for a drive on a Sunday afternoon with the window down, and has been a hit with fans since its recent release. Craig plays all the instruments on the album, much of which was recorded in a cabin on the Buffalo River with long time friend and producer Aaron Raitierre. In short, Craig Davis is a master storyteller with a unique yet relateable style.
