"Radical Records"

i still adore the slower
paced romanticism of the ''sometimes'' cd (disc 1) - tracks like
''valley of love'' and ''sometimes'' hit me where i like it when i'm in
need of that sort of feel. what can i say about ''if i ever say'' ...
stunning.

"Chris Taylor (The Chasers War on Everything) Guest Reviewer TripleJ Unearthed"

There’s a confidence and swagger to the songwriting, and a lyric that wouldn’t be out of place in Robert Forster’s notepad. Good stuff. " June 2007 Chris Taylor TripleJ Unearthed and The Chaser War on Everything. - Triple J Unearthed

"Radio 2SEA FM"

"Very impressed by your CD. A instant addition to my playlist." Lindsay Montgomery Radio 2SEA FM - AMRAP

"Triple B FM"

I like all of what you have done, especially the mixture of genres – Scary and Reason certainly make me think of Pink Floyd in the melodic harmony of the voices! Valley of Love and Sometime are dreamy songs – you are good! I have chosen Mood Swing and Strange Day (it amuses me greatly) for this week but I know I’ll be using the CDs regularly and I’ll recommend it around the station" Mary Conlon 89.1 Triple B FM - AMRAP

"8CCC FM"

"I have played it several times since it's arrival at various timeslots " I particularily like tracks 'If I ever Say' & 'Tell me Friend' from the first disc - your voice and delivery reminds me of the sound of Nick Cave (a compliment ). Joanne McGinnis Music Co-ordinator 8CCCFM - AMRAP

"Song of The Year Contest"

These lyrics rave with attitude. I liked the imagery that you painted these lyrics with. The music rips with raw guts and an upbeat attitude that wouldn’t let go of my ears. As for that song title, I'm not really sure what it means, but it definitely gets my attention! This is a really cool song that I enjoyed through and through. - Internet

"Honourable Mention, Song Of the Year"

Your music is great, with strong composition and originality. The melodies are simple but do a fantastic job of setting the mood for the song. - Song Of the Year

"Radio KLFM"

Just wanting to catch up that I have added 6 tracks from 'The Death Bed Regrets' to my Pulse playlist at Radio KLFM. All will be on regular rotation and should come up about every fourth week. Before reading you bio & comments I couldn't get Nick cave & prog out of my head. Mind you the album is spiced with style gems especially 'Creepy little things' & 'All you can do'. All chosen songs, to my mind, show a depth to make you want to explore further. What I term - Thinking person's music.

To be honest, the CD has not been out of the player for the past week and (although it's already June) I've got it in my top ten finds this year.

Should you find yourself in Central Victoria, get in touch as I would only to too happy for an on air interview.

Anyhow, The tracks added are the first 6 - Rhino, Televisions Child, Softly Leaving, Creepy Little Things, All You Can Do & Make Your Diamonds Shine.

You can check my details in the programme guide at www.klfm.com.au or email me at the station klfm@klfm.com.au

Thanks for the copy and I trust that it gets plenty of airplay around the nation.

"Noisehead"

I like the rock-funkiness of this one with a little jazz guitar thrown in. Yeah - sounds like a mood swing ... and then you break into the punk zone and I get what you're singing about. This is my favourite one of your songs. - Noisehead

"Noisehead"

Nice man! Harmonica's a wonderful crazy instrument just right for everyone and great in this song. Like your playin - Noisehead

Bio

Craig has been playing piano in bands for years covering every genre from country though to punk. He is now a recognised producer of songs for T.V, Film and radio. www.craigfraserband.com

Who is Craig Fraser?

Now there's a good question. The answer depends on who you ask and which songs you hear.

Take some Paul Kelly, The Go Betweens, Pink Floyd, Nick Cave & Deep Purple. Put them all in a blender and you start to get some idea.

You might get a catchy 3.5 minute country-pop song or you might get a full 13 minute 3 part epic.

Scaled down melodic piano or big riff 70's guitar, if the song fits, play it.

With a handful of faithful band members and friends as well as the odd session muso the lineup keeps rotating but always continues to produce fresh sounds. Recent double CD "Sometimes" has just been completed. Second album Craig Fraser & the Death Bed Regrets is due for release shortly.

A brief list of reviews relating to the CD sometimes are:
