Craig Martin Ward

Craig Martin Ward is a singer-songwriter from Ayr in the South West Coast of Scotland.

Craig has been writing and recording original works since the age of 15 and has worked with a great many local musicians throughout the years and played some if the top live venues the country has to offer.

Now 25, Craig has completed a BA(hons) in commercial music, a 4 year course that was ideal for a young man like this to find his voice, and find it he did.

Craig has since spent a year and a bit living in Vancouver before returning to Scotland in February of 2010 with the beginnings of his first full length album "Good Things Come (to those who wait)" which has since been released as an online album and has had a string of favourable reviews from local and indie press.

He is quoted as being influenced by "every great singer and/or songwriter ever" but there are clear nods given to the contemporary greats, the likes of Ray Lamontagne, Damien Rice and Bright Eyes have had obvious impact upon the Scotsman with the occasional Paolo Nutini Scottish-ness thrown in for prudence.

What set's this young man apart is the almost quiet confidence he exumes in his approach to all his musical pursuits. He seems to have a clear understanding of who he is and how he sounds, and he seems happy to show anyone who'll listen.

So listen! And listen well, Craig Martin Ward isn't ground-breaking-new-genre stuff, but he's honest, and thats often enough.
