The City and Sea

author: Neil Burman
Beautiful easy listening folk rock with wonderful harmonies reminiscent of The Eagles and Australia's Little River Band . All original material written by Craig (and one track co-written with his brother) evoke the sights, sounds and freedom of Western Australia with excellent musicianship, balance and production values. Buy it.

So how would I describe Craig's music?...pensive, soulful, soothing, uplifting are words that first spring to mind.
Craig’s relaxed but powerful voice soars to heights that make you listen up and say 'Wow! How was that?'

'The City and the Sea', Craig's debut album, is decidedly different, and presents a softer side to his brilliant song writing.
Quite a few of the songs are dedicated to close friends and family, and one can certainly feel the depth and warmth within each one, as was obviously intended.
With perfectly placed vocal harmonies throughout, the songs have a variety of stringed instruments blended beautifully with intricate and interesting chord structures.
Played by some of Perth's most accomplished musicians, each song is unique and has its own journey and story to tell, taking the listeners mood away to different mindsets and places.

Overall, whatever music is your preference, I can't imagine anyone not liking or at least appreciating this CD. It's classy, slick and very easy to listen to!
