Bio
Patricia Cromwell-Clements is a contralto with a wide vocal range. She has traveled across Canada singing at community events and inner city churches. She was born in Yarmouth,Nova Scotia and grew up in Bridgetown in the Annapolis Valley. When her father obtained employment with the CNR in Winnipeg, the family moved to Winnipeg a year later.
Recently she has performed on the CD-RESURRECTION by Fresh I.E.,on Channel A-The Big Breakfast and with The Quarry Choristers and jazz artist June Pepper Harris. In the past, Patricia has been member of many choirs and small ensembles, musicals in the community, in particular an historical music drama called JOURNEY TO FREEDOM written by June Pepper Harris. Patricia co-produced this well received production which was performed by several local artists in Winnipeg to enhance a major community exhibit called BACKTRACKS TO RAILROAD TIES by the Manitoba Museum. A songwriter, Patricia wrote music and lyrics to an album called AS LONG AS I LOVE produced on the JERUSALEM label in Cap-de-Madeleine, Quebec. Currently,she is working to produce a CD in the fall.
Currently, Patricia will be performing as a background vocalist behind Maiko Watson at the Winnipeg Jazz Festival on June 30,2007.
