BandRockAcoustic

Drawing comparisons to artists such as Coldplay, The Fray, David Gray and Counting Crows, Crash Parallel’s debut album is a combination of strong melodies and intimate lyrics. With an iTunes exclusive EP out now and the bands debut release set for May 6th this year is looking to be a good one.

Biography

Drawing comparisons to artists such as Coldplay, The Fray, David Gray and Counting Crows, Crash Parallel’s debut album is a combination of strong melodies and intimate lyrics. The Toronto-based quartet was formed three years ago by singer/ songwriter Tim Edwards and songwriter/guitarist Dan Saitua, later joined by Gary Rugala (bass) and John Vitellaro (drums).

To date the band has taken an organic, grassroots approach to their career while working on their debut album, World We Know, set for release May 6th, 2008. They garnered an early following through performing local area gigs, including NXNE where the response was outstanding which led to major buzz for the band at both college and online communities.

World We Know was recorded at Chalet Studios in Ontario, produced by Dan Weston (who also helped co-write “Not That Simple” and “Save Yourself ” on the album) and mixed by Mark Makoway (Buck 65, Sarah Slean, David Usher, Mat Mays).

The title track and debut single, “World We Know”, is a powerful piano infused track that challenges our generation to take action to protect our world from the difficult conditions it faces today. The track builds and builds with emotion the listener can’t help but become emotionally involved both musically and lyrically.

Crash Parallel is currently in the studio gearing up for a cross country tour and looking forward to showcasing their live show to audiences across Canada in the upcoming months.

Rain Delays

Written By: Tim Edwards

Sleepless nights and endless days, mini skirts and serving trays
Waking up from rain delays and selling sex for pocket change
Living off the alcohol with no one but a cab to call
Lost inside a bathroom stall, this carbon copy life withdraw

I need someone to believe in

Driving cars we can’t afford, just making sure we’re never bored
Living off our own accord, between coffee grinds and corner stores
Limousines and cigarettes, we’re chasing dreams with fishing nets
Long week ends without regrets no one here is taking bets.

I need someone to believe in, someone to fill this space with grace, to look into my eyes and touch my face to make me feel alive today.

Someone to make me strong, someone to make me belong
Someone to make it alright, someone to make me feel alive.

Stretching out like rubber bands, to kiss the cheeks and shake the hands
in pool halls and wonderlands, with strong arms and no legs to stand
getting by on hand me downs, with your tips your drinks you’re buying rounds
it’s back to my old stomping grounds like children in the lost and found.

I need someone to believe in

Long Night Dreaming

Written By: Tim Edwards

I am so primitive, I am so limited,
I’ve been restricted to the terms of breaking my heart
I’m such an idiot, when I’m falling into it
I am addicted to the terms of falling apart

You can be so sure, I can be so insecure
You can shine like gold but I can’t stay awake
I guess I’m in for another long night of dreaming.

I am predictable, but I can be so loveable
I am invisible in the world of a woman like you
You are incredible, and so beautiful
So unattainable in the world I could never break through

You can be so sure, I can be so insecure
You can shine like gold but I can’t stay awake
I guess I’m in for another long night of dreaming

All I ever wanted was a moment with you, but all I ever leave with is a long night of dreaming and all you ever wanted was the moment of truth but all you ever leave with is a long night of dreaming.

I don’t have anything but I will give you everything
Just so I could do it all again
You are incredible and so goddamn beautiful
So bright and colourful, paint a smile on girl and colour me in.

The World We Know

Written By: Tim Edwards

The mention of God makes me strange
The battle of words and the wars we wage
The castles of time we build up straight,
Run out of room and we build sideways

Sometimes I feel my blood runs cold……….

The conscious stain won’t wash away, tell me what are we waiting for
The acid rain right through my veins, tell me what are we waiting for

I’m catching a bird and it makes me feel
Like I’m talking to her through the atmosphere
I know that I’m right but we can’t let go
The beauty in flight and the world we know

Sometimes I feel my blood runs cold……….

The conscious stain won’t wash away, tell me what are we waiting for
The acid rain right through my veins, tell me what are we waiting for

We’re so far gone, but we can’t let go
We’re so far gone that my blood runs cold

The conscious stain won’t wash away, tell me what are we waiting for
The acid rain right through my veins, tell me what are we waiting for
The hurricanes and tidal waves, tell me what are we waiting for
The conscious stain won’t wash away, tell me what are we waiting for.
