Bio

Crazy Talk is an exciting "New' Country band playing the current country hits plus remakes of classic country standards and has that "NOW" sound. With five vocalists their rich harmonies are complimented by outstanding musicianship and their live performances are a pleasurable experience.

The fact that these musician joined together to play country music should be contributed to one name “Craig”. Yes it was Frank that contacted “Craig” in the summer of 2010 looking for a country band to play guitar for. “Craig” sent Frank over to join “Northern Comfort” where he met Amanda, who was the bands lead vocalist. Together they did manage to play a few gigs and even the Chicago Country Music Fest 2010, but the band broke up shortly afterward. Amanda and Frank vowed they’d start up a new band soon though.
In 2011, Amanda went off to sing in her first classic rock band, while Frank used “Craig’s” help to find yet another average classic rock band, where he met Mark playing drums during the fall of 2011. Traumatized by too much overindulgent classic rock guitar solos, they both left the band vowing to form a “good time” country band together.
Frank, Amanda & Mark got together in December 2011 to play a bit and discuss moving forward. They set out to find a bassist through the help once again from “Craig”. Then, one night “Craig” sends over Despina, her bass, and Chris to play some guitar and fiddle, since both had recently departed from a country band they were playing together in.
With the wheels in motion to getting the band together, Frank, without the help of “Craig” this time, contacts Ross, a keyboard / vocalist he knows from south side jam nights. Ross agrees to come out for a night of country music playing. The night went great with everyone agreeing to get together again the following week.
From there the story has it Ross went home after that first night to tell his wife that he was gonna join up with Frank, Amanda, Mark, Despina and Chris to make country music, and her response was “that sounds like a bunch of crazy talk”. Ross and the rest agreed…. and they’ve been known as “Crazy Talk” since.
You might wonder how does “Craig” fit into all this…… well there’s a List of his on the Internet that can find just about anything…… even Crazy Talk…………….
