Jason Steed is by now a veteran of the Tucson music scene having played bass with various bands throughout the 90s and the early part of this century, including Dog & Pony Show, Naked Prey, Cathy Rivers, Teddy Morgan, Mark Insley, Chris Burroughs to name a few.
Having written songs since the beginning of his foray into music, it inevitably came time for Jason to put his own band together and do it his way.
In 1996 Creosote was born in a rammed earth house in Barrio Viejo (The Old Neighborhood) in South Tucson, AZ. A rotating lineup of Tucson All-Stars have been a part of the band over the years with the most recent line up lasting the longest.
The band will begin recording a new album in Chris Burroughs private studio in the early part of 2009.
