Bio

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Creswell delivers a sonic blast of scrappy rock n' roll with soaring melodies and lyrics that challenge the listener on their spiritual journey. The band was formed in 2004 by Will Robertson . After releasing an independent album in 2004, Creswell began touring the U.S. and attracted guitarist Dustin Conant and drummer Gabriel Kilby. By 2006, Creswell had performed nearly 200 shows in 20 states, logging nearly 50,000 miles on the road. In January 2006 their debut radio single "Ananias" began spinning on 36 stations nation-wide, leading to a record deal with Break of Day Records.

By the spring of 2006 it was time for a change. After months of touring non-stop, the band was ready to take a break from the road and write a new album. From those sessions was born the Creswell LP. “We really wanted an album that reflected the struggles we were feeling as we grew together and dealt with a life spent on the road, trying to grow closer to God and closer to each other. We also wanted to write songs that addressed issues that we know our fans are going through so that our struggles and triumphs could be a source of encouragement and a challenge to them as they grow and mature in their faith.”

From the album’s opener “Get Away”, a song about fleeing temptation, to “So Far Gone” a song about the joy of salvation, to “Ananias” and “Immigrant”, songs about the hunger for real faith, to the heart-wrenching “Reach Out to Me (Wasted Life), a song about the hopelessness of life without salvation, the music tackles these issues in a way that is approachable without necessarily settling for quick answers or easy solutions.

As far as plans for the future? Creswell will continue doing what it does best: Using their personal experiences and challenges as a vehicle to reach the next generation with the truth of Christ.
