Bio

Crimson Dawn is a band from West Middlesex & New Castle, PA who plays a variety of rock styles, original and cover songs, mostly original. Their sound is a crossbreed of hard and light rifts. The vocals at times are raspy and other times carry a melodic overtone. Three members of the band have been playing together for almost Eight years, and the fourth member has been in the band for over Six years, and the fifth member has been in the band for almost 2 & 1/2 years. Crimson Dawn has recorded three Demo CDs, one with ten original tracks during the summer of 2002, the second with six original tracks during the summer of 2004, and the third with four original tracks during the summer of 2006. The three original members of the band, Paul Bauer, Brandon Blatt, and Rob Multari, along with Paul's brother Matt put together a band in high school back in 1999 known as Cerberus. Cerberus played their first show for friends and family in front of the Bauer's garage. They played a benefit concert with other local bands at the Shenango Township Park in West Middlesex, PA for a local girl who was diagnosed with cancer. The bands first paying gig was opening for War Between One at a small under age hangout in Sharon, PA called Freddie Fresh's. Cerberus last show was a Halloween Concert on the campus of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2001. Soon after Matt quit the band, do to lack of interest in playing the bass guitar, and was replaced by Tim Bracken during the spring of 2002. The band then decided to change the name to Crimson Dawn to get a fresh start. As Crimson Dawn they have played in two battle of the bands at the Metropol in Pittsburgh, PA. They won two out of three battle of the bands back at Freddie Freshs. The band had opened and headlined many shows at Freddies before moving on to adult venues. On August 9, 2003 the band headlined a show for the 46th Annual Street Fair in Grove City, PA. Crimson Dawn has also played many shows in clubs and bars from Pittsburgh to Erie, PA and Sharon, PA to Youngstown, OH. The band participated in the Budweiser battle of the Bands at Jillians in Boardman OH on July 25, 2004. Crimson Dawn also played a benefit concert along with nine other local bands for the American Cancer Society Mercer County Unit on August 14, 2004 in memory of the lead singers 15-year-old cousin Antonio Yeager, who died May 18, 2004. Rob, the lead singer, was one of the head organizers of the all day event, which was held in the Chestnut Street Café parking lot in Sharon, PA. Shortly after the band decided to add another member, Justin Booth of New Castle, to play Rhythm Guitar. After two months of practicing with Justin Crimson Dawn was ready to play their first show as a quartet. The band decided to go back to their roots and play at Freddie Fresh's, now Called the Faraone Bros, to get Justins feet wet and re-introduce themselves to the under age crowd. Crimson Dawn has been interviewed on Real Rock 104 out of Youngstown, OH. On June 17, 2005 Crimson Dawn opened for Dark New Day, Warner Bros. recording artists and former members of Sevendust, Creed, and Stereo Mud, at the Cellar in Struthers, OH. Also at the Cellar Crimson Dawn opened for Corporal Punishment Indie recording artist, Switched, on April 30, 2006.
