"Live at Bar Le Ritz"

The follow up was actually a cute little out of towner by the name of Crisis Ctrl Club hailing from our favorite city, Toronto, Ontario! HAPPY SMILES AND SHIT!!! See all that bubbliness? That’s what their entire set consisted of. I’m not complaining, I’d be completely lying if I said I didn’t enjoy at least one Fall Out Boy song in the history of mankind. I’d also be lying if I said that this was a bad set. Rocking the three-piece pop rock of Cheated Love vibe, these dudes definitely had it together. I don’t typically like this style of music, but I am not a reviewer with a bias; this act knew what they were going for, and got it right. Of course a set like this, drowning in synth and keyboard, is going to be greatly helped by some of the city’s best possible live sound setting. Seriously, the sound guy at the Ritz is a pimp, and that soundboard in front of him is his bitch. - Bucket List

"The Next Big Thing"

Crisis Ctrl Club is a new and upcoming 3-piece band from Toronto, Ontario! Formed in 2014, they have continuously committed themselves to writing catchy rhythms and lyrics. In the year 2025, 23 year old Tyler James knew that his only chances to make it as a famous rockstar were to travel back in time to play for Rick Astley during the prime of his career. When Tyler got in to his time machine though, a small snail named Carl crawled in between the steering rudder of the machine and this caused Tyler's machine to stop short in the year 2014. Determined to still play for Rick Astley he tracked down what he believed to be one of his live shows. After the show Tyler confronted Rick Astley and told him that it was his destiny to play for him. The singer took off his Rick Astley mask and revealed himself to be none other than Jason Hoeg. Jason knew who Tyler was from a recurring dream he'd been having since he was a small child and knew that this was indeed destiny. The two began writing tunes together as Control Club but found that despite its catchy hooks and steady beats it just couldn't captivate the now jaded populace of this generation. Jason recalled a musician he used to play with who went by the name Jai. Upon hearing the name, Tyler immediately panicked. He explained that he knew of Jai in the year 2025 and that the man had been infected with a rare case of the funk that had driven him insane, releasing only 3 hour long acid jazz funkterpieces from his room in the institute he was committed to. Despite this information Jason knew that Jai was the chaotic mind they were missing. The two scoured the entire world looking for Jai until finally they found him in Bangkok receiving a foot massage at a local parlour. The three spent the next two months living off pad Thai, foot massages, and blow as was the tradition at that time until one day they finally sat down and played together. Three people were killed instantly by the sound but eventually the three found a balance and they knew that this was meant to be...until of course Jai would eventually catch the rare case of the funk that Tyler and Jason never told him about. - 102.1FM The Edge
