Bio

Think-“Jlo” meets “No Doubt”… and you get “CrissiV.” Born in Panama City, Panama, this Black Latina exudes a sexy, raw flavor to her music that sets her apart from any other artist in the biz.

Most of her lyrics are self -written. It is there where she encompasses the diary of her life. “I write about love, hate, my fears, my bliss. I write about the human experience”, remarks “V”. “Some of my songs are fantasies of things I create in my head, and when I sing them, they become my reality”

This sexy songstress crept in the music scene in 2002 with her former band “Se7ven.” “We just packed our bags one summer day and decide to go to LA to be rock stars,” recalls “V.” They drove 3000 miles from Baltimore MD in pursuit of the all-American dream. Together with se7ven, “V” played in Los Angeles venues such as the Viper Room, B.B. Kings, the Roxy, and Whiskey a Go-Go. It was then that she began to fall in love with the songwriting process. “I would write about 2 songs a day easily. There was so much going on in my life at the time. I was living with six other band members in a 1 bedroom apartment! That experience in itself gave me a lot to write about!”, says “V.” “But seriously, from living out of my car to selling out clubs and performing in front of die hard fans…. I wouldn’t trade that experience for the world!”

In 2006, some members of the band decided to part ways and the band split, but “V” continued to plow through. She teamed up with producers Grant W. Nicholas(Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Yolanda Adams, Mya) and Claudio Cueni(Tupac, Boys 2 Men, Immature) to embark on a solo project. Currently, she is wrapping up her debut solo album entitled “ My Life-In Story Form“, in the process of shooting her first music video, and planning for a national Fall 2009 college tour. This sassy Latina is paving the way for other Black Latin artists across the world with her true-to-life lyrics and her raw “in your face” nature.

“She will make you feel that sh*t when she’s on stage!” raved a fan at her last concert. I second that notion…
