Guitar virtuoso Cristóbal brings an original, fresh sound that delights and enthralls audiences.
Born in Colorado, he was enriched by the traditional Latin folk music of Colorado and New Mexico in a musical family environment. Initially studying saxophone at the age of 10, Cristobal became enamored of the guitar's immense tonal spectrum and complex chord possibilities at age 12. Excelling in both instruments, he earned recognition as a soloist in the classical and jazz genres. Additionally, he performed as the lead guitarist in a variety of bands that performed everything from funk to country to popular rock.
Composing since early teens, Cristobal developed his own unique contemporary style inspired by his Latin roots. Cristóbal's debut CD Guitarra Contenta combines the familiar stylings of Latin and Brazilian jazz, rock and salsa with foot-tapping, energetic rhythms and infectious melodies. The album includes sambas, latin funk, smooth grooves, as well as exotic Middle Eastern moods.
Cristobal continually mesmerizes and entertains with his technical finesse and unforgettable melodies.
