Lyrics

the mudder

Written By: cristopher lucas

You can call me the mudder
I run better in the rain
Although some things change I’m takin’ mine right to the finish line
When it’s pourin’ rain splish splashin’ puddles in the road
You got drippin’ clothes well let’s take’em off
They’ll dry in time

Ah yeah but we’ll be wet who’s the king of the world now don’t forget
Inside you sometimes really deep what’s dormant now can’t always sleep
You’ve got an answer for everything the birds will fly and the bees will sting
Which reminds me; my you shake that thing git out here in the rain and spread your wings

Chorus

Why why how could life be too beautiful and how is your life so pitiful
You’d think you died cuz you broke your heart smile wild when it rains it pours
There’s always more you can never be too sure what’s in store or what this life’s for
Besides that man who’s keepin’ score glass half empty you’ll get your fill
I can see a drop of rain on your windowsill (it’s raining it’s pouring the old man is scoring)
Nothin’ against the sun and it’s harmful rays but man why y’all hate rainy days
It’s the rain that makes the grass green it’s the pain that helps you reach your dreams

Chorus

Water’s risin’ for the flood hold back the river

It makes you sick well I think that’s dumb what’s wrong with a little optimizum
It’s the rain that makes the grass green it’s the pain that helps you reach your dreams
You expect me just to sit and pout well that’s not what the rhythm of the rain’s about
And that reminds me babe you shake that thing so git out in the rain and spread your wings

5th grade lover

Written By: Cristopher Lucas

5th Grade Lover

In her lip-gloss my face turned red
I caught her lunchbox upside my head
Got her name all over my book cover
I guess she must be my 5th grade lover

Her glitter made me wanna go back to school
It’s summer way way back in 82’
For a sticker on my BMX bicycle
I kissed her but she wasn’t my tricycle

She was all unicorns and rainbows

At recess your friends say that you don’t care
But you always let me cut in front of you in the line to 4 square
I’ve got your pencil with the funny bunny eraser
As I watch you drive away, watchin’ me from the window of your mamas’ pacer
I’ll see you on Monday, don’t you be sick

To kiss your lip gloss till my face turns red
And catch your lunch box upside my head
Got my name all over your book cover
I guess you must be my 5th grade lover

One day I said I’d hold you in my arms
But you moved away
So long

no typical set list as far as song titles.
sets range from 35 minutes to two hours.
We play to the crowd and gosh darn it,...we're good at it.
we'll sometimes do a few covers if we feel nutty...like, TLC's "Waterfalls", or Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees".
