Welcome to Northwest Indiana. The age old saying, Theres more then
corn in Indiana really takes effect in the cities of East Chicago,
and Gary where Craig Critical Mosqueda was born and raised. Smack
dab in the Chicago Metropolitan area, East Chicago, and Gary dont
have much to offer other than trouble. Navigating these streets is a
job in its own right, and a tough one at that. The constant struggle
to do right when its so easy and profitable to do wrong continually
weighs on your mind every single second of the day. Everyone needs a
place of sorts to escape the madness, and for Critical, its his
music. Whether its producing the sonically sounding structures of his
instrumentals, or the effortless sounding cadences of the verses he
lays down on top of them, you know at first listen that he was born to
do this.

Born in 1981 to Mexican-American parents Critical knew at an early age
that music was his calling. From being a member of break dancing crews
to deejaying his own basement parties as early as his adolescent
years, he was always in the mix. Although his love for rapping started
in his preteens he did what a lot of rappers dont do, he formulated
his flow to a perfect science, and didnt even hit a recording booth
till his 20s. And that road to the booth wasnt a smooth ride.
Getting caught up in gang affiliation, and selling drugs were a
necessity in the streets where Critical was raised. Even with both
parents working to support the family it was always a constant
struggle, so if Critical wanted the new Jordans when they came out,
he had to work for them. Whether he was slanging newspapers on a paper
route or selling a quarter of weed, Critical has been a hard worker
since an early age.

The trials and tribulations that Critical has endured have shaped him
into the artist he is today. While he can solely pull from his
experiences in the streets, he doesnt. He is beyond that and has
created his own genre of Hip-Hop that infuses the gangster, pop, and
back pack elements, with an infusion of the sounds of house music in
most of his songs. He has also proved himself to be a leader by
guiding his three man group, Trilla G, to a very well followed and
award winning underground presence. Having opened up for the likes of
Twista, The Ying Yang Twins, Mario, and David Costa Lives amongst
others, and winning several Coast 2 Coast Magazine national
competitions, Trilla G is one of the premier underground Latin Hip-Hop
acts in the country, and their just getting started.

With Trilla G being firmly established , Critical is currently
focusing on his solo career, and is readying the release his new album, Random Acts of Flyness in the first quarter of 2014. The album is a
mixture of who Critical personally is. If you were to mix the Hip-Hop
styles of trap, and backpack with the sounds of pop, something for the
ladies and slowed down house music in a pot on the stove, you would
get Criticals style, hot, fresh and ready to serve to the world. On a
platinum platter.
