"The Ultimate Southern Rock Experience!"

"The Ultimate Southern Rock Experience, can't wait until the next show April 7th" - Martin's Downtown Bar and Grille

"Top Tickets"

Roanoke's hard boiled, Southern rock superstars are one of the busiest bands is the area - and for good reason. They throw down every time they take the stage, bend strings so hard it'll make your girlfriend jealous and play so fierce you'd swear they sweat Jack Daniel's. - The Roanoke Times

"Band Puts Fresh Spin On Southern, Classic Rock"

Crobar Cane has put a fresh spin on southern and classic rock. With the group's self-titled album, Crobar Cane proves they have what it takes to make amazing music.
The album includes songs such as "I," a rocking song sure to make listeners want to dance due to its faster beat and some hot guitar playing done by Adam Rutledge and Jason Weeks: "I'll Always Be Yesterday," a slower, more melodic song with lyrics so hot you won't be able to "get [them] off [your] mind;" and "One Last Memory," a live track that shows this band's capability to perform live on stage as well as in the recording studio.
"One Last Memory," written by lead singer Rutledge and lead guitarist Weeks, is a tribute to good times, good freinds, and good memories. "I'll Always Be Yesterday," and "I" were both written by Rutledge and his father, singer/pianist Roger Rutledge.
Another bonus to the album is the secret track of "Don't Step On the Grass, Sam," originally done by Steppenwolf but beautifully re-mastered by Crobar Cane. this time around the listener can actually understand all of the lyrics sung by Rutledge and drummer Brett Fulghum and the guitar riffs are beyond exceptional.
Crobar Cane, formerly known as Southbound, consists of bass player Jay Gladden and lead guitarist Jason Weeks of Salem; drummer Brett Fulghum of Roanoke, and lead singer/guitarist Adam Rutledge and singer/pianist Roger Rutledge of Roanoke.
The band changed names from Southbound to Crobar Cane on July 1 as members felt "Southbound" was too generic.
One day, singer Adam Rutledge walked into his grandfather's body shop and found him using a crowbar as a cane.
"It really had a profound affect on me." said Rutledge. Soon after, band members agreed to change their name to Crobar Cane, dropping the"w" for emphasis.
Crobar Cane has an astonishing, fresh sound reminiscent of the Allman Brothers mixed with Lynyrd Skynyrd. The music is upbeat, the guitars rock(both electric and bass), the lyrics are hip and sexy and both Adam and Roger Rutledge possess sultry voices, making this album one you won't be able to keep your hands off of-or out of your stereo. - Salem Times Register

Bio

What do you get when you put 5 musicians together with over 50 years of musical experience, a passion for the music they play and influences ranging from the Commodores to Van Halen? You get a band that is as unique as its name: Crobar Cane. Driven by a rock solid rhythm section, catchy guitar riffs and soulful singing; Crobar Cane has been entertaining audiences up and down the East Coast for the past 7 years. Having shared the stage with bands ranging from The Outlaws to Kool and the Gang, the members of Crobar Cane live for the music they play and for the people they play for. Their huge, ever changing set list is an A-Z catalog of classic and modern acts and draws all ages for “dead on” covers of Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, and Lynyrd Skynyrd to name a few. Not content to just be a cover band, Crobar Cane has released 3 CD’s of original material and they continue to write new songs. They have the ability to play shows of all original material if need be.
If you are interested in a band that really puts the “live” into “live band” then you will not be disappointed with Crobar Cane.

Here are some things that are being said about Crobar Cane:

“I have enjoyed Crobar Cane for several years now and I was first drawn to then because of their smoking rendition of Freebird, here they totally nailed the dual solos at the end of the song. After that I was in double Les Paul/Marshall heaven.

But what really got me into the band was the songwriting. The songs they write have a familiarity to them that makes them instantly recognizable, yet completely original at the same time. The band should be sharing the stage with the big bands of the world.”
