Biography

Crosscut Saw is primarily a blues based 5 piece band. We have a unique ability to take traditional blues music from some of the greatest artists of all time and make their songs their own. Our original songs are unique satements of their own. We don't do original material for the sake of doing original music but as a way of higher passionate expression to meet our level of musicianship and dynamics of the band. Our influences are: Robert Johnson, Freddie King, BB King, Albert King, Hound Dog Taylor, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Koko Taylor, Etta James, Irma Thomas, Billy Holiday. What sets us apart from other bands is our attention to detail in musical quality as well as the passion, energy, and enthusiasm in which we deliver our music. The dynamics between the two guitar players who are Father and Son is very rare and unique. It is always explosive and filled with passion as they drive and push each other all the time.
