Biography

CROSSIN DIXON comes from the musically talented state of Mississippi. Surrounded by music their entire life the men of CROSSIN DIXON were destined to be stars. The band was formed when two local Mississippi bands that had competed for the same gigs around town decided to join forces and when they did the band realized that the sound that was created was something special. Their sound is unmistakable with the tight Harmony’s, face melting playing and the amazing energy they display on stage.

In September of 2006 finally after playing for thousands of fans their hard worked paid off in the form of a record deal with Nashville, TN based label Broken Bow Records. After that the guys went to work in the studio and created such singles as “Guitar Slinger”, “Bird dog” both which has had music videos aired on CMT and GAC and produced by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean Producer). For the last couple of years the band has been on their radio tour while still playing for their fans.

CROSSIN DIXON has shared the stage with such artists as; Jason Aldean, Dierks Bently, Jimmy Wayne, Gary Allen, Colt Ford, Jamey Johnson, John Anderson, Andy Griggs, Trace Atkins, Cletus T. Judd, George Jones Steve Azar, Restless Heart, Aaron Tippin, and Confederate Railroad, to name a few.

CROSSIN DIXON is one of those rare groups that love what they do and are a tight nit family. When the lights go down and the band hits the stage you can feel the energy in the building growing ,once they hit the first note the roof explodes.

Here are a few fan comments,
-“CROSSIN DIXON is the most energetic band to come out in a long time.”
-“I haven’t heard harmony like that since Alabama or Restless Hart.” Knox
- “On minute they can have you on your feet screaming to a rocking song, the next they can have you in tears with a heart felt ballot” “My god they are real”.
-”You can tell they love what they do”
- “They are as real as it gets” National Program Directors

So next time CROSSIN DIXON is in your town they would love to see you their it is sure to be a show you will not soon forget. They love their fans ,and show it by giving all they have on stage. 2010 is a new chapter in this bands story. They are REFRESHED and RELOADED.

Guitar Slinger

Written By: Rodney Clawson, Jon Stone

[Chorus]
i've got southern comfort runnin' through my veins
my mama was the wind, my daddy was the train.
im the second coming of the midnight rider
im the modern day old soul singer
son of a gun and guitar slinger

i spent 10 years pickin on a six string
working the barseed
burnin it down to the ground
lookin for a sound that ain't been found
by no one else
stickin true to myself
so i took it up the highway
south bound interstate
counting on a big brake
trickin my legs for tips
learning to live like i never did
i was dead broke
like a bad joke

[Chorus]
i've got southern comfort runnin' through my veins
my mama was the wind, my daddy was the train.
im the second coming of the midnight rider
im the modern day old soul singer
son of a gun and guitar slinger

i thought i found the right thing sittin in the wrong town
out in the crowd throwin all the signs with her eyes
looking mighty fine in the line of a honkytonk
just singing along
but i never had a chance cause after the last song
we had to get along down the road with the show
doing it again with some new friends under the spotlight

yeah this is my life

[Chorus]
i've got southern comfort runnin' through my veins
my mama was the wind, my daddy was the train.
im the second coming of the midnight rider
im the modern day old soul singer
son of a gun and guitar slinger

southern comfort runnin' through my veins
my mama was the wind, my daddy was the train.
im the second coming of the midnight rider
im the modern day old soul singer
son of a gun and guitar slinger

southern comfort runnin' through my veins

the second coming of the midnight rider

im the modern day old soul singer
son of a gun and guitar slinger

I Love My Old Bird Dog

Written By: Bob Dippero

Sometimes I'm mad at the world, made at this town
Mad cause I can't lose the same five pounds
That I've been trying to lose for three or four years now
Sometimes I feel like a truck that just won't run
On the side of the road in the July sun
There ain't another car for miles that I can thumb down
Well I guess every now and then you're gunna land on a bad day
Though I still do, I know I can't complain

Cause I love what I do, love where I'm at
Love a strong cup of coffee and my old black hat
My big wool blanket, sleeping in my cowboy boots
I love my old bird dog, I like to watch him run
Love my red guitar, I bang around on some
And I love, ove, ove you
Baby I love, ove, ove you

Now heaven to me is a simple thing
It's just you and me and phone that don't ring
Popcorn poppin, wanna layin around Friday night
Seein your smile when I wake up
The way you slide to the middle of my pick up truck
The way you say baby it's all gonna be alright
When I walk in at the end of a worn out day
And I see you there baby how can I complain

Cause I love what I do, love where I'm at
Love a strong cup of coffee and my old black hat
My big wool blanket, sleeping in my cowboy boots
I love my old bird dog, I like to watch him run
Love my red guitar, I bang around on some
And I love, ove, ove you
Baby I love, ove, ove you
Yes I do

Well I love where I've been but I don't look back
I thank God for the life he lets me have
My big wool blanket, sleeping in my cowboy boots
I love my old bird dog, I like to watch him run
Love my red guitar, I bang around on some
And I love, ove, ove you
Baby I love, ove, ove you
Yeah, I love, ove, ovvve, youuuu oooo
Yes I do
Yes I do
