Bio
Formed in 2010, the Los Angeles-based quartet was a reunion of sorts for vocalist/guitarist Michael Drake and keyboardist Roger Malinowski, both of whom had met and played together in the charting country rock act the Drew Davis Band. While with the DDB, Drake and Roger had played before hundreds of thousands of fans, and shared stages with the likes of Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins and Rascal Flatts.
But after many years of playing on the road with the DDB, Drake and Roger were looking for fresh territory to mine with their road-hewn chops and evolving musical sensibilities. Their vision was a project that would rock the house with an Eagles meets Keith Urban meets Tom Petty meets Dierks Bentley aesthetic. All they needed to make it happen was the best rhythm section Los Angeles had to offer.
Enter bassist Derek Franks and drummer Kevin Stevens, both with impeccable CVs as L.A. sidemen and session players - Derek with artists like Jennifer Paige, Alejandra Guzman, Bonnie McKee and Christina Aguilera; and Kevin in television shows like "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "CSI Vegas," "The O.C.," "Frasier," and "American Dreams."
When the four play together, it becomes clear that the whole is even greater than the sum of its members.
