Bio

Cross the Border are a heady fusion of Celtic, Folk, Classical and Rock that displays the diversity of the bands influences
Debut album Here We Stand showcases this variety from the Celtic Power Ballad "Sake Of The Blade", to the mellow Instrumental "Winter Sun" and Folk Rock of "Unsung Heroes" it's an album centred on the theme of Brotherhood.
Having started life as an internet band that formed through myspace in 2007 between original members Stoo Nicol and Gary "Sketchy" Painting, Cross The Border soon discovered a love of playing live.

Despite the distance involved, many songs were written and gigs played (highlights include Belladrum Festival, Wizard Festival and Spratton Folk Festival) as members continued to be added to the band.
Gigging continued, but sadly, due to personal reasons, both Tim Brown and Gary Painting left the band

Now, with the new line-up completed by Alistair Bell on guitar, John Duffy on bouzouki and Richard "Biscuit" Neville on bass, Cross The Border are stronger than ever and very excited to see what the future holds.
