Crowne

Crowne formed in Jersey Channel Islands in December 2008, ignited by a passion for music ranging from soul, indie and jazz to hardrock. After discussing their influences they started to write compelling original songs crafted in their own innovative and individual style. The creative energy of the band’s live shows has earned them a loyal fan base and critical acclaim. Rory Thun performs with a passion that can belie his virtuosity, with clever heart-felt lyrics, he can go from a delicate vocal line to a scream that Robert Plant would be proud of. The rhythm section’s solid interplay provides a foundation which liberates James Underwood’s lead guitar work, Marcin Lach swings beats with total command of his ferocity while Mirek Lenart’s rolls out bass lines with groove and a knack for carrying a melody. Years of musical collaboration allow the band to play together tautly without sacrificing spontaneity. Crowne are compelling different but without alienating people, we manage to do something a bit different, but still appeal to the masses. With some large shows in Europe awaiting 2011 is an exciting year for Crowne!
