Bio
The story of Crowsfeet begins over 10 years ago when four musicians affiliated with the Sociology and Anthropology Departments at the University of Central Florida began to play gigs around the Orlando area after jamming together at department parties for many years. The band was known as “The Rattlesnakes” and produced one CD.
After illness forced the retirement of the lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist, the band ceased performing in the mid 2000s. But with the addition of a new lead guitarist and back-up vocalist/mandolin player, the band is back as “Crowsfeet” – the name giving a nod to the band’s maturity and down home style.
David Gay, on lead vocals and guitar, is a Texas native whose gritty voice is authentic and compelling. He is a songwriter who has penned several originals in the band’s set list.
Gary L’Hommedieu provides excitement and soaring melodies on lead and slide guitar. Gary is a veteran musician with bands such as Fat Chance.
Original Rattlesnakes, Mike Mustaine on bass and Vance Geiger on drums, provide the steady grooves that give Crowsfeet a driving beat and get folks out on the dance floor.
Susan Fox provides harmony vocals and mandolin with occasional solos on the harmonica. She played music around the Tampa area and at regional folk festivals before relocating to Orlando.
