Bio
Formed in 1982 and originally known as "Sword of Jah Mouth". Crucial Oneil and Jah Sword band are one of the founding fathers of British Roots/Reggae music. alongside Aswad, Steel Pulse etc Crucial and Jah Sword combined their caribbean musical heritage with their experiences of Black British culture to create a fresh new sound.
Gigs and recording contracts soon followed and the band toured the U.K and Europe building up a dedicated following which still exists today.
After separating to pursue individual projects ( but always maintaining contact) Three of the band's original members decided to reform due to public demand.
Oneil Bell AKA Crucial Oneil, Tony "Iyli" Henry and Delroy "sticks" Walker now perform as Crucial Oneil and Jah Sword with 4 new band members and backing vocalists.
