Crush Point

Crush Point started in Fall 2010. By New Year's Eve we played our first gig, and have played all over SE Wisconsin, including some stops in the Fox Valley. Crush Point is:

Sam Leader - Guitar

Sam has been playing guitar since he was 13. He cites broad influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Slayer. Guitar players Ty Tabor, Tony Iommi and Jerry Cantrell are among his favorites. He uses Gibson and PRS guitars and Egnater amplification. You may have seen him on stage with Red Alert, Anshar, and Shrapnell.

Joe Michaelchuck - Drums

Joe’s previous drumming experience include local cover band Kid Ego, as well as originals bands Fever and Artificial Red. At the age of 10, a family friend sat Joe down on his drum throne and taught him how to play along with Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry”. Soon after, Joe began saving his paper route money and eventually pieced together his own drumset from the local music shop.
Joe’s influences include Steward Copeland, Neil Peart, John Bonham, Vinnie Colaiuta, Jerry Gaskil and Manu Katche.

Bob Fier - Guitar

Bob started playing guitar in 1983. Early influences Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, Alex Lifeson, followed by Iron Maiden. He uses PRS Guitars and Mesa Amplification. He is also a guitarist for Black Hand 67, a local originals band.

Randy Klein - Bass

Randy plays Fender and Lakland 5 string basses and uses Ampeg amplification. Influences include but are not limited to Clutch, Sabbath, Rush, Alice in Chains and the list goes on and on, may have seen perform with Yadda Yadda, Dope Show (Midwest premier Marilyn Manson Tribute band) 5 O'clock Something or other.......

John Hodge - Vocals

John is the newest member of the band, joining in the Fall of 2012. He has a diverse range of influences, including metal, thrash, punk, rap, and more.
