CAPITAL cadillac hosted a night of glitter, glamour, business power, political power and social power all in a room to show appreciation for those who give community support on a daily weekly and continue is basis. DC shows appreciation to some of the best in the community Sunday night with the Cadillac Awards leading up to a great night of special music of Crystal Cruz if we did not know her before she made sure that your Sunday night was full talents that supersedes and matches the beauty. Although she’s been singing since she was 5 and showcased before the Godfather of Soul James Brown at a early age who labeled her a star before her time she has proven to shine through her music that was proven on this special cadillac night. With a voice like Silk Crystal song Melody of the heart mind and spirit that just warm the room for the Cadillac Night. With so much Power in the room she was just what we needed to smooth the night to enjoy and appreciate the honorees as we get ready for the struggle of the day-to-day that will continue as we leave this program.

A self-described “mixed chick” Crystal grew up dealing with the issues that impact mixed race families. Being born into an interracial marriage in America with the blood of Spanish, German, Irish, African American, Native American and Jewish ancestry running through her veins allowed Crystal to view life from many different interesting perspectives which is the basis of her writing and creative expression. With her first public performances as early as age 4, Crystal mastered her training and plotted a course that bears witness to her natural calling to the performing arts. Her industry credits include, singing, dancing, writing and acting. This multi-cultural, quadruple-threat performer is a role model for young women and represents every girl and every personality.
Glimmering in bright reds, whites, blacks and luscious yellows, manifesting her sexuality through her pinned up hair and classic Pin-Up Girl look, Crystal Cruz is seductive yet sophisticated, the type who flaunts her disdain, your Bad-Ass Chick. A self-described “hybrid” Crystal grew up dealing with the issues that impact most mixed race families in America.
