Bio

Crystal Extasy is a rock band from Finland. The band has played around hundred live gigs. The members are known from many different bands. Singer / guitarist Mickey Crane has been playing in Michael Monroe & Andy McCoy Hanoi Rocks Revisited back in 2001 and before that he has been a guitarist of Michael Monroe band. Iwor and Tommy are known from the band called Rendez Vous and backing vocalist Maya is the lead singer of the band called Deathlike Silence.

In the year 1997 four young guys started The Crystal Ecstasy. Next year they released their first 5-track cd-ep named “Part of his sacred dream” which was sold out pretty quickly. The band has been active till 1999 when they decided to take one year break because of line-up changes. Crystal Extasy got a fresh new start in the early 2000. Everything has been going very well and they reached a small cult following. Music consumers and press observed the band also outside the Finland, like in Japan and in Europe.

In the year 2002 Crystal Extasy released their 2nd CD “Back on your planet” which got good reviews and it was widely observed.

Crystal Extasy has opened for several big Finnish and foreign acts, such as The Hellacopters, Egotrippi, Michael Monroe, The 69 Eyes, Apulanta to name a few. Crystal Extasy's own shows have also been known to attract the crowd, and along the years they have built a considerable and very loyal fan base.

Crystal Extasy played sold-out farewell gig for 300 people back in 2003. The break lasted for four years until it was the time to make a comeback surprise at the big summer festival’s main stage called DBTL in Finland. The band was refreshed and better than ever before.
